Question 1

What is Meathill Minesweeper?

Accepted Answer

Meathill Minesweeper (minesweeper.meathill.com) is a learn-while-playing Minesweeper with 9×9/16×16/16×30 boards, no right-click required, double-click chording, and Learn Mode: live probability heatmap + efficiency scoring with post-game replay.

Question 2

How is the probability computed?

Accepted Answer

Constraints come only from opened numbers (each says: exactly N mines among my hidden neighbors — flags are ignored, since they may be wrong) on frontier cells, split into components and enumerated exactly, isolated cells share remaining mines evenly, yielding P(mine) 0-1 as green→yellow→red 75% overlay. The solver always runs for scoring.

Question 3

What does efficiency mean?

Accepted Answer

Fixed-gap scoring against the best option at that moment: open is compared against the lowest mine probability pMin, flag against pMax; a 5-point gap costs 1 point and a 50-point gap costs all 10. Chording is always 10.

Question 4

How to chord on Apple / trackpad?

Accepted Answer

Optimized: double-click any opened number where flags == number to open the rest. Right-click, long-press, and trackpad all work, plus mobile.
